Hi guys,
I finally solved the problem.
It was adware.look2me.
It had been detected by all antiviruses and fixed too but the problem was that each time it came right back.
It made dll files with different names each time. And these just couldn't be deleted neither by the antiviruses nor by me, cos these dll got assosiated with the winlogon file which would mean you cannot delete these files till the windows is on.
So the solution I reached upon was that I noted down these files, rebooted the comp and at the point where it asks you whether you wanna open xp or recovery console. I opted for the recovery console, from what I understand it is basically the age old reliable DOS prompt.
There I could easily delete the files.
If any of you have to use the recovery console when you are asked for the Administrator password just press enter.
