wide range 2 way walkie talkie in USA?

can anyone specify any 2 way walkie talkie which supports more distance ?...i am not happy with my present walkie talkie service..

its not quite walkie talkie but i think its called nextel in the states...they do a thing called 'Mike' and that is where you buy a phone that supports it and you can pay by the second for your chat, I have it on my phone, but havnt used it. Its apparantly supposed to be like walkie talkies...
