This is just an idea of mine which has probably already been thought of by many. If you have any knowledge on the limitations of current technology or if you would just like to comment on whether you think the idea would be practical, or even possible, feel free to make a comment.

It's a 2 piece, wireless, bulky device but could squeeze in your pocket or clip onto your belt.
It has detachable eyewear for stereoscopic viewing of internet, movies and games.
When the eyewear is detached, the other part can be held and operated as a standard wireless laser mouse, which also functions as a cellphone and an ipod.

The eyewear contains 2 separate LCD screens and lenses. Ideally, each image would not use up the full area of it's screen. Instead, each image would 'float' about 10mm in any direction, to allow the ability to counteract slight head movements. In other words, the image stays still, relative to the room in which you are sitting, while your head is free to make small jerky movements (which you do automatically when viewing in 3D). This is important to reduce the 'wobbly picture' effect which exists with conventional LCD eyewear.
