Thunderbolt and simultaneous talk & data

They say that the HTC Thunderbolt will allow you to talk and use data simultaneously. My question is that since their 4G coverage is very limited, will you still be able to talk and use data simultaneously even if you're not in an area with 4G coverage?

I'm pretty sure that if there is no 4G, that they can still use 3G data. You just dont get the speeds. I have the Atrix which has 4G but even where i dont get coverage i am still able to hop on the data plan and check stuff out. I dont have a new SIM card. It is still my 3G SIM card so the only difference was the 4G Plan.

Afaik not being able to use talk + data simultaneously is a limitation of CDMA (3G) so if you don't have access to LTE (4g) that restriction would still apply to the Thunderbolt.
