Price of Iphones in USA?

I was talking to a friend and he said that there a lot more expensive in Europe than in the USA, is this true?

Not sure what prices are in Europe, but here in the US the prices are as follows:

8 GB 3G - $99
16 GB 3G S - $199
32 GB 3G S - $299

This is with a new 2 year contract and a required $30/month data plan.

Yes, at least on AT&T, you have to have a $30 a month data plan.

The contract provider is 02 and on some contracts you pay for the phone on others you don't it's hit an miss to be honest.
