Default Modding my Windows CE 8.0 GPS

So, I recently got a GPS for my car and noticed that it had Windows CE 8.0 on it. This is exciting, because if my 16 plus years of computer knowledge have taught me anything it's that, if it's got Windows on it, you can mess with it.

My question is as follows:
Are there ways to modify my GPS to do more than what it's meant for? I mean I know that there's an SDK for Windows CE but would it really work on a GPS?? And if so, how much can I do with it.

It has an SD card reader and a USB port if that helps.

Thanks for your time!!
