Making only IPAD LCD a working screen for Camcorder

Hello to all,

I wanted to know if anyone here knew, or has, any experience in making the IPAD lcd into a monitor that could be plugged into a video input type slot on my HVX200 camcorder. Essentially, I want to only buy the IPAD lcd and use it as a monitor for my camcorder, as the ipad lcd is of very high resolution and can be bought for very cheap. I am aware that some type of soldering may need to take place (for the battery and the video cable), but I want to know if it is possible / how to do it. I know the question is out there, but If anyone could assist me in any way it would be of great appreciation!

So you are just wanting to make a larger viewfinder from an iPad screen? I am sure it could be done if you can find the diagram for both the iPad screen and the camcorder. One of the biggest issues I see is the power source for the bigger display and what are you going to use to house the LCD part of the iPad screen?
