iphone, right side of screen Wont work

Hey, i have an old iphone 3g
the right side of the screen ( just one column of the apps)

Wont work, no matter what you do, its been like this for a while now
any ideas on what it could be?
the warranty is long gone so i took a peek inside, all the connectors seem to be in place,
and it works when i refit them

but after an hour or two just the right side stops working

i may have answered my own question just now that the connectors inside are faulty but, just want to get someone elses opinion

Hard to troubleshoot the issue if you've got no spare parts you can swap in/out
When you say the right side "won't work", what exactly do you mean? Does the display on the right side go black? Or does it just not respond to touch? Does it still display everything correctly, e.g if you swiped to a different screen would the right side of the display correctly show it?

Yeah about 2 cm of the entire right side vertically, doesn't respond to touch:
Ive taken it apart looked at the connections, if i re adjust connections 1,2 and 3 it works but on for a little bit, so i thought it may be coming loose inside, but when i take it all apart again nothings moved, all still very secure.

i can still unlock the phone with a swipe, and another problem is the top speaker, cant hear someone talking on the phone
The rest of the phone is fine :')
