At long last, Comex has released his new userland jailbreak for up to iOS 4.0.1 for just about all devices.

Simple as pie: direct your device's Safari web browser to JailbreakMe (jailbreakme . com) and follow the instructions.

UPDATE: A lot of people are having trouble with the servers being overloaded. Here's what should happen:

1) Open Safari on your iDevice
2) Visit www . jailbreakme . com
3) Slide to jailbreak AFTER SYNCING YOUR DEVICE WITH ITUNES
4) If a Blue Box saying "Downloading" DOESN'T Appear, try again, server down. If it does, wait, HOPE IT DOESN'T TIME OUT!
5) After it downloads, it will say "Jailbreaking... Sit tight" - Merely just wait until it says it has finished!
6) "Cydia has been installed on your device, have fun!" - ENJOY!

UPDATE 2: If you have issues being stuck at the space background, either try restarting, or clear the cache for safari.
