Help with new Blackberry required

Hi all,

My friend has had a Blackberry 8707v (made by RIM we believe) that he bought off eBay for a day or so now.

As a unit, it works fine, but when we have put his Vodafone SIM card into the Blackberry, it recognises the SIM but we cannot figure out how to (if possible) to import his SIM contacts.

In the Contacts menu, there is an oiption to do this but when imported, there are no contacts in the Contacts menu.

To be honest, im only used to doing this with a mobile phone, not a BB.

Any suggestions welcome!

Get the Blackberry Desktop Manager from here:

Should give you the abiltiy once you connect it via USB to your computer

Make sure your BB has the latest firmware, that may be the issue. Or your simcard is curropt - but that is very unlikely.

Also, are you sure your contacts were stored on your simcard on the previous phone ? sometimes there held on in-phone memory.
