So yeah, I have an LG Venus and its from verizon.

so basically, I'm trying to make mp3s as my ringtones, but the only way possible that I have found was by buying the ringtones themselves online.
I tried this:
1. Hooked up my phone to my PC via USB.
2. Dragged all the music I wanted as my ringtones into the phone\music folder.
3. Unplugged USB, checked my phone.
Now the problem is that the ringtones turned out to be only playable in the media player, meaning I could only listen to them, but not allow them to become ringtones.

I tried texting myself songs but I can't email my phone for some reason o_O

Please help!

Use BitPim (freeware, just google it) to transfer ringtones, pictures, movies, etc to and from your phone. Just need the USB cable to hook up to your computer, and then drag/drop what you want into the program, and send it to the phone. I've done this with a couple of ringtones on my VX8600, and they work flawlessly. Also done this to several backgrounds =).

or you can do what i do

hold it up to the speaker and record it then email it to urself and set as ringtone.

another option is to bluetooth.

I use audicty and just cut the clip I want then bluetooth the mp3 to my phone. Click use as ring tone and done. Easy as pie
