GSM unlock for XT912 Droid Razr-VZW?

I might have f'ed up. I traded for a Droid Razr XT912, a Verizon phone, with the thought of setting it up for my wife through Straight Talk. I am now finding out that ST doesn't let you activate a 4G CDMA phone for service... maybe. Lots of conflicting info.

I have seen tidbits about unlocking the GSM on this phone but I am having a b*tch of a time nailing it down. I thought maybe someone else's Google-fu may be better than mine, especially after all the yard work the missus wrung out of my this holiday weekend.

Let me know if there is hope for this thing.

BTW I have already tried the RadioComm fix and it did not seem to fix it.

Yeah. No dice.

I have found someone local who says he can unlock it for Straight Talk as well as GSM. Going to meet up with him later and see.

Worked on the phone for over two hours. Can't be done. Any of the other Razr smartphones can be unlocked but not this one. Figures.
