I got my first smartphone a while ago and I want to root it to get access to a lot more things. I've looked everywhere and I cannot find a way to root it anywhere. I have a RAZR M by Motorola exclusive to Verizon, running Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 with a system version of 98.18.94.XT907. If anyone could help me root this phone I'd gladly appreciate it.

What's your System Version under Settings > About phone ?

Also, for your next phone, if you want to root/run a custom ROM... don't get a Motorola. They're a huge PITA to get working.

System version stated above. 98.18.94 at least that's what it says in my about phone. I'll take a screeny. Thanks for the links. :)

I took a look at the links and they said I had to root before unlocking the bootloader... If this isn't the case than could you give me step by step instructions?

No idea.

Depends when Motorola sends it to Verizon, and then it could take a couple months for Verizon to approve the update and get it sent out.

Well that sucks... thanks for your help anyways. :) Do you think KitKat would be simple to root? I'm not the most knowledgeable person with things like this.

All depends on if there any exploits that somebody finds in the new bootloader for KitKat ;).
