Apple Selling Unlocked iPhones

If you're in Hong Kong, you have the option to purchase an unlocked iPhone 3G from Apple so that you can pick the carrier of your choice. Expect to pay a pretty penny for that ability though.

The eight gigabyte version was on sale Saturday at Apple's online store for 5,400 Hong Kong dollars (about 700 US dollars), while the 16 gigabyte model was 6,200 dollars.

$700 is about cost of a Nokia E90. There's nothing about an iphone that makes it worth that much to me.
