Transcend company released this week a new aXeRam series :4- GB collections DDR 3-1800, intended for dual-channel regime.

They work with timing 8-8-8-24 with the voltage 1,65 v. They support the technology Intel extreme memory profile (XMP), which simplifies the overclocking process on contemporary motherboard .

Probably some the best ram I've used and I don't expect anything less from them. They obviously bin very well.

transcend has been using those heatsinks before the PI's came out. Same ones on my old ddr1200 kit. They are solid aluminum and make great contact w/ the IC's. Not alot of people I'm sure have experienced Transcend but man I would not turn them down w/ their quality and attention to detail.

Rican you going to make the move to DDR3 soon?

I would have to get a new cpu, mobo, and ram for that unfortunately.

But i can get an AM3 chip and drop it into here.

is that a dual channel kit?

and isnt am3 going to support tri-channel ddr3?

i hope they make this in tripple channel too!

Yes AM3 = triple channel DDR3 but it also has backwards support for DDR2 and
because of that, will run on certain AM2+ mobos such as mine.

i wasnt aware of any am2+ boards that can run anything over 1066.

are they making bios updates for better ram options?

or am i just behind another rock ;)
