Trusted Computing FAQ TC / TCG / LaGrande / NGSCB / Longhorn / Palladium
Its a bit outdated but a good informative read. For the people who don't want to read it. TC or Trusted Computing is a conglomerate organization that is headed by Microsoft and Intel to make a "safer computing" platform. It already exists in windows Vista and did cause some stir when Vista came out, but by now its been all but forgotten. Essentially TC allows Microsoft among other to effectively control everything on your pc under the TC platform. And with TC being very attractive to software vendors its no doubt many popular apps will go under TC. Very scary stuff. Not even the GPL is immune to it.
