My friend wanted to buy a nice gaming computer and decided to customize a Sony R to his liking.
He customized it and ended up around 4300 dollars. I thought that was insane for a desktop but when i saw the specs i was amazed

3.6ghz pentium 4
1gb ddr-sdram
1.6 tetrabyte harddrive (1600gb) hold a ton of games
ATI Radeon x600 xt

the biggest hard drive ive ever had was 250gb
his computer makes me envy him

what do u guys think?
this comp worth the money or not?

You want my opinion? He probably could have built it for much less.

The only thing he's really paying big for is the HD space, which is probably more than he needs. I would have cut that in half for 4GB of RAM instead of one.

I'd also say an AMD CPU better suits gaming as well.

Well, if he can just drop cash that on a computer, he has a lot of money to spare, and in that case, fine for him. He won't need to worry about storage space for a LONG time. :p

NewCents, thats a complete rip off. Im sorry but if you even consider paying that much your making a mistake. All Sony does is OVERPRICE.

First thing thats wrong with that computer is its a Pentium 4. Pentium 4 processors are ideal for applications, not gaming. AMD is ideal for gaming. Amd Athlon 64 socket 754 3400+ Clawhammer, will out proform that Intel at gaming. You can built a better gaming computer for 1600$.
