It performs well at gaming and the price is pretty good although the overcloking results weren't quite as good as I expected.

with those specs, you would imagine that it would compete with the E8000's, but something tells me its not, especially since the ran it up against the e6000's

edit: if this isnt that much better than the x2 7750, then i dont think the extra $50 is worth it.

looks like this might just be on par with the e7400. since they didnt include a e8400 it's hard to tell what the performance of it is. the pentium e6300 looks promising

I'm thinking the x2 550 BE is a waste of money...personally, I would buy the x3 720 for the extra 30 bucks or so.

But the 250 is a decent deal for 80~ bucks, and it is better than the 7750/7850.

hmm, those show the two new dual cores really close to the E8400, if that is true, then ya, they are good deals, but still, the x3 720 was a good % ahead of all the duals still making it the best bang for the buck in that price range.

I agree with the 550, but the 250 is a pretty nice deal since it's only slightly more expensive than the 7850. But if I was on a budget anyway, I'd probably grab a 7750 anyway.

Even guru3d thinks the 550 is interesting, but the 720 is a much better deal.
