ya, it could. but small investments wouldn't see much of a difference...like 1K. it's the 10K+ that would see something.
ford really isn't getting a bail out though. just a line of credit when they need it.

its not about the price of the stock.
its about the % it can lose or gain.
there is still a good chance you can lose 50% of your investments on ford
at the same time, there is a ok chance you can double your doe.
if your looking strickly long term. you better have faith that ford doesnt go under. these are harsh times in the real world.
its not just the United States thats in trouble, this is worldwide.

on 11/3/08, these were selling on average of 35 cents a share.
people who invested 1k or 10k lost dearly.
today, its rated @ 15 cents per share
9/26/08 it was about 1.50 a share.
its still not a buy @ 15 cents a share, as this company can go under in a blink of an eye.
