My Phenom II benchmarks - [H]ard|Forum

Cooler -OCZ vendetta 2
CPU - Phenom II 940
Ram - 2x2gb Mushkin redline
mobo - MSI K9A2 plat
video - 2x 4870, 4x4850 (installed right now is 1x 4870)
H/D - WD5000AAKS
PSU - Corsair HX1000
O/S vista ultimate 64bit

Definitely not exhaustive, but nice.

Yes........

20K in 3dmark06 with the cpu at 3.85Ghz and whats appears to be stock 4870's.

25K might be a bit of a stretch with GTX 260's, but i know ill score at least 22-23K with oc'd 260's, xp and
the cpu at 4ghz.

23 sec super pi run @ stock is pretty impressive when compaired to the rest of amd's products that are out today.

the x2 6000+ (125w) gets about 30sec + @ stock running 3.0GHz
i dont know what the phenom 9950 gets @ or near 3.0GHz or if it can even reach 3.0.

but this really looks like good news imo

thats 23% faster than the x2 6000 while both chips are @ stock speeds.

not to mention the 4k boost in 3dmark with that overclock vs stock, real nice.

im going to have to start selling my neighbors children so i can get me one!

X2 7550 is faster clock for clock when compared to the E5200. With 45nm in AMD's future and higher OC potential with K10.5 architecture. It seems AMD has FINALLY produced its response to C2D.

Now all that's left is their response to the Core i7 architecture. In all honesty, at least all us "AMD fanboys" don't have to put up with K8 anymore.

Regor seems promising, low cost, low TDP, and blazing fast considering Regor chips will be around the $100~ price range. Regor will probably replace AMD's current day Opteron chips.

How is the 7550 faster clock for clock than the E5200 when the 2.7ghz 7750 is about even with the 2.5ghz E5200 performance wise?

That doesn't make any sense piozen. if the Athlon 7750 equals the e5200 when it is at a higher clock. That means the e5200 will be faster than the athlon at the same clock.

The Athlon 7750 is not faster than the e5200. And when you think about it, it shouldn't be. Phenom 2 roughly equals Conroe in performance. So put up against a wolfdale it should be slower clock for clock. I would have to see some hard proof otherwise. And Hussein saying so is not hard proof.

This is just more fanboyism.

no he said clock for clock then he asked how is that possible so to do a clock for clock comparison you up the clock of the e5200 so it is 2.7ghz there for you get clock for clock comparison. and how am i an amd fanboy look at my sig beforey ou say anything didnt know amd made a q6600.

I was saying the 2.7ghz 7750 has about the same performance as the E5200, meaning the 7750 is slower clock for clock, making it impossible for the lower clocked 7550 to be faster clock for clock than the E5200 because the 7750 and the 7550 use the same architecture.
