the gtx260 is 399.99, will be released the 26th of june, they have a delay for some odd reason. the physX will eb added when games start taking advantages, all im guessing we are most likely waiting for is a new driver for the 8/9 series cards.

Is there an expected date to see 4870x2 benchies? I'm leaning in that direction so far even though theres no numbers on it yet. The 4850 swayed me in the ATI direction : P

Wow, very nice. Is the 4850 really 75% the performance of the gtx280? Why is nvidia screwing up so badly?

Well Nvidia is still 25% faster :) It's only the price that they are screwing up on.... It will come down. I remember the 8800GTX BFG Watercooled card costing around 600 pounds on launch.....yet now you can get used 8800GTX cards for like 115-130

are you talking of 4850 crossfire being 75% of it? because from those crossfire scores 1 of them would be highly unimpressive.
Look's like I'll have to wait a bit longer for the 4870x2 though. I've got step-up up but if one 4870x2 beats out the 280GTX I'll have to crossfireX instead >.> already have an x38 so it would be cheaper than the 280 sli right off the bat.

all ati x2 cards are on one pcb right? so watercooling isn't as much of an expensive headache as the gx2?

i was hoping nvidia would keep top spot, i've grown a bit partial to them (and evga woulda saved me a ton on a new card -.-). but performance is where its at, and if they don't have it then they dont have me >.> lol
