Ok, are we sure the full chip range is out in December? sounds unlikely. Wouldn't you expect the higher end parts to hit in December and then the mainstream parts in Q1?

Also do we know that 2.66GHz is the lowest priced part?

What I'm saying is I don't think there's enough information to say that a 2.66GHz part will be available in December for circa $316



Its performance that counts, not specifications.

I agree, knowing Intel, they'll exaggerate their prices down a little, and when the stuff comes out it'll take a couple of months to drop their prices, and they'll most likely through out the Extreme Editions

2.66 Might not even be the lowest performance Bloomfield, think about e2200, its 2200mhz, but one would think it beats the e6420, when it actuality its lower cache makes it get beaten by the e6420
