Intel Core i9 ‘Gulftown' Pictured

EXPreview has a sneak peek of Intel's upcoming six-core, 32nm "Gulftown" processor. The CPU isn't due until the first half of 2010 but their source snagged some ES'es and took some shots of them. Cool stuff.

Why does the TM show 24 "cores" if there are only 6 (12 with HT of course)?

They most likely were, and had HT enabled on both.

they say they are only going to target these at the premium user...

i just hope they come out with a model under $400 like they did with the i7's, if not then i guess no upgrades for me for a while...

Yea, you can see in the CPU-Z window, they can select the option for a 2nd processor, and HT is enabled you can also see that in the CPU-Z.

I see that now (the drop-down list), don't know why but that didn't click the first time I saw it. That's some major processing power...
