very possible its not gonna look that solid but it will be a beam. its about 100 bucks for the laser pointer.
my friend has one and it works really good at night but in the day the beam is a little harder to see but its there

get one if you want i dont see a reason for them but theyre cool if you have 100 dollars to blow off

a laser focuses light in one direction.
the air lets light pass through it, and not much if any of the light is actually deflected by the air
unless the air had a large amount of fine particles (dust, fog etc..) in it for the light to bounce off
although if that were the case, you would have seen the fog/dust/whatever.

but you cannot, so that means the pics are not real

no they are real but it wont be as solid as that. you will be able to see the beam but it wont be super solid you can just sorta see a trace of it. it works pretty well at night

Those pics are fake.......

As Apokalipse said, you need to have some particles in the air for the light to bounce off of to be able to see the beam. You may be able to see a beam if you have a pretty dusty house, but it will be VERY faint.

Doctored Pics.... worked with lasers back in highschool.... you can't see it until it hits something.... either a solid surface, or gas in the air....

Think about this. Go out at night with a flashlight in a CLEAR area, no fog, no clouds, etc.... can you see a beam of light, literally a CYLINDER of light in the AIR, no... if you shine it through smoke from a campfire, or fog, THEN you can see it.

They even look fake too. they could have at least done a good job making them............... The edges are way too defined and the beams grow in some pictures.
