I thought the same thing, untill I couldnt see clear more than 10 meters and realy screwed up on the job, I wont take vision for granted, my last set of glasses cost 400$ and its the best purchase I have made to to date.
 
OK will i still be able to play at 1080p@60Hz? and what if the other person is watching a movie? i dont feel like wearing glasses and headphones
 
the man in the video said that glasses work by blocking the vision from one eye, wouldn't that effect the gamers depth perception?

No, because depth perception applies to real life, being able to tell something has depth, or 3D. The image from the TV is always 2D, and your brain perceives it has depth, no need for 2 eyes when your brain interprets a 2D image as 3D, when one eye is perfectly able to take in 2D images without a problem:)
