EVGA doesn't even list the 9800 gtx on newegg anymore so it figures they would be the first to put the gtx+ out on there. If you don't want to move up to this there are some nice price drops on the regular gtx ...some go as low as $185 with free games n stuff

GeForce 9800 GTX+ SLI review (plus model)

gtx+ sli vs 4850 crossfire review. Looks really good, the gtx+ stays even with the 4850 most of the time and wins/loses a few times too.

EDIT: they also used a 680 board, maybe if they used a 750i/780i FTW board they could of gotten a few extra frames?

And the resale value will be less because of all the confusing names. Nubs will be like "wtf 9800gtx? same thing as + right?".

9800gtx+ = around $200
4850= $150. Sometimes as low as $140 after MIR with coupon codes.
Newegg has Sapphire HD 4850 512MB PCI-Express Video Card for $175 - $15 (with code S4F50242L) - $20 Rebate = $140 with free shipping.

I think the 4850 is STILL the better buy. Just saying...
