I had to share this because it is just really cool. I do some work with Lexus Magazine and I stumbled onto this article announcing the latest technology in EEG: the EPOC. Apparently it allows the wearer to control machinery simply by thinking about, or feeling emotionally about, what he or she wants those machines to do. It sounds really creepy and cool at the same time.
Besides having a cool gaming experience where even your smiles show up on the character, as well as your every move, think of the implications this kind of technology may have with people who have disabilities like quadriplegics. All they would have to do is think about walking and on the computer they would be doing it! Check out the full article and demonstration video
What do you guys think? Just a fad type of technology or something that is here to stay and will revolutionize things?
