It's to bad Intel never released a extreme edition wolfdale. It would have probably been extremely expensive but it would still be cool to see how high one could overclock.

ya, his 8500 smacked my phenom in some gaming benchies and we both had the gtx 280
pretty impressive stuff he can do with his rigs

Wolfdales aren't anything to sneeze at. They hold their own against quads in 3dmark. The higher clock and sm2/3 scores really make up ground.

Guess I was flat out wrong.. you'd be better off spending the extra for i7
