Just build a Core i7 920 based rig now, then buy the i9 in November.

I need to step it up on my HD, CPU and GPU soon.

Yea. Forgot I need to get an SSD here soon too. My beloved money is gonna go bye bye. Wonder how much the base i9 will be.

Will anything actually be able to use the 6 cores of the i9? I didn't think there was that much that used four cores right now.
