Hello Everyone,

I believe all of you have heard of, or even attended the CES Las Vegas 2011 (Consumers Electronic Show, the biggest technological event in the world).

I wanted to present you today my favorite item, the one which gave me the best feeling there.

Its name is Active-i, this is a kind of spy sunglasses, a camcorder integrated in cool fashionnable glasses.
Actually, until now, no big surprise, this exists already.

But the problem with such glasses is to aim properly: you never really know what you are recording, you always cut heads or get blur effect.

This one amazed me because of its new LCD technology: the Active-i carries the smallest LCD ever built (first constructed for the US army), and manages to give us a very clear picture through that tiny little screen!
Basically, you have a small LCD viewer that you can either put on the glasses or remove with a single click as it is plugged with a normal Jack.

I am not sure about the price, it seems to be 150$ something in QVC, but the normal price should be around 200USD I guess.

Whatever the price, I loved that stuff, that looked very cool (several colors and styles, several sizes) and efficient!

I would like to share a few videos with you before ending my topic and opening the discussion:

There are plenty of other cool videos like that on the net, but don't want to overload the topic, feel free to add some you like yourself.

So, here is the discussion: what do you think about this and did you even hear of it before ?

Interesting. Looks pretty solid. No HD recording though?

I'm waiting for the glasses that are the LCD screen like in Mission Impossible.....2? Ugh, whatever one he's free climbing at the start.

Oh, I don't think HD is possible on such glasses. It would cost to much in terms of energy, hence it would either require a big battery, or a very short time recording, which makes no-sense as you want to bring your glasses anywhere (so no big ugly battery) and use it anytime (so no short life battery).

Maybe they'll find a solution for their next generation ?

But I think the quality is pretty good already, did you check the POV videos?

Looks really cool, but I could never get enough use out of them to merit $200.
