For ease of use, CampusByAir is organized in channels. Channels can be created and modified to address specific events, groups, or topics of interest to your campus. Channels such as Department Heads, Sporting Events, Homecoming, etc., are created and managed by a designated campus administrator. Using the web interface, users can subscribe to receive information on any of the provided channels.
Information can be sent using three distinct communication methods:

Broadcasting
Alerting
Interactive

Broadcasting method allows sending text message to all of the channel subscribersÂ’ mobile devices at once. Messages are received instantaneously by those who have their mobile devices turned on and are able to receive the phone carrier signal. This means that a recipient who is boarding a flight, one commuting to the campus, and one sitting in cafeteria will all receive the message at the same time.
Alerting method will attempt to reach the recipients via pre-defined alerting path, cascading from one device to the next until recipient answers or all options are exhausted.
Interactive method enables the end user to request information and receive response. For example, user could request information on registration deadlines and that information would be sent to userÂ’s mobile device.

CampusByAir is a Robust Turnkey Solution
CampusByAir is a carrier-grade communications platform that offers one interface to engage campus population through mobile, voice, text, and web channels. Yet, CampusByAir can be implemented in just days and requires no technical resources on campus end. The complete solution is hosted and maintained off-site. Intuitive web-based management enables rapid deployment with minimal training requirements.

CampusByAir Manager features include:
Easy campaign management - CampusByAir Manager enables quick creation of interactive communication with features such as message scheduling, detailed reporting, and more.
Flexible permissions and user profile management via portal - The Permissions Management system puts the end user in complete control. Users can create accounts and then subscribe or unsubscribe from various message channels, specify a privacy time when no messages will be delivered, as well as maximum number of messages delivered per monthÂ…
Device independence - Our platform is capable of delivering messages to variety of mobile devices.
Permission-based mobile marketing - CampusByAir can be extended to allow area merchants to reach out with special offers and discounts for campus constituents. This win-win scenario benefits everyone and campuses could collect additional revenue by offering marketing service to merchants. Merchant module is a self-contained add-on to CampusByAir platform and would not require additional implementation or management from campus.
