with the $190 i5 still spanking amd's best pII 955, either they will have to bring out their goods or lower their prices even more.

It sounds like it will be pretty close to the i7 in performance, actually better than the i7 in some cases, and it's still in the "beta" stages! Price is cheaper too, sounds good to me. But, I'm still a n00b so what do I know

ahh, i didn't know that. Maybe the middle ranged lynnfield will be the best one to buy.
