AMD rolls out new budget 3D cards | Crave, the gadget blog - CNET

4550 and 4350... waiting on some benchmarks. The 4800 series already took complete control over the high-end cards and the 4670 seems to be performing well for a mid-range card. Could they start to dominate the budget ones too?

From what I read the 4350 outperforms the 9400 at about half the cost. Both the 4350 4550 only use about 20W each, so they should drop right into prebuilt boxes.

How good is the 9400, though? Since I'm on the verge of building a new rig, I'm looking at all potential money-saving corners that I can cut. Would this be something the average TF user would like?

for gaming you should look at the HD4670 or higher.
