4 x 7800 GTX's in SLI!

it's a board made by Gigabyte which has 4x PCI-E 16x slots. it can run 2 cards at PCI-E 16x each, or 4 cards at PCI-E 8x each
and it's running 4 7800 GTX's!!

This is getting rediculous. Can you imagine the heat that would come off of that thing? How about developing a 1 card solution that blows everything away like the R520 was supposed to do.

yeah apparently the R520 is not going all that well though. from what I've seen, it might only be 16 pipes. they're also making an R580 which should be really good, but we don't know yet.

thats pretty stupid idea....plus u dont really need 4 of those cards for games these days...well not yet anyway and by the time that there are games that need this much GFX power...there will be better cards out

I'm guilty. Kinda extreme though. Do the 4 cards worK together? If they don't then its not much of a feat.

this sure is cool but i dont think there will be any needs of having 4 cards for a long time.
