Back to basics, how many bytes in a gigabyte?

p.s. try this without actually looking it up.

Answer: a. 1,073,741,824

1 megabyte = 1 MB = 1 048 576 bytes

1 gigabyte = 1 GB = 1 073 741 824 bytes

1 terabyte = 1 TB = 1 099 511 627 776 bytes

1 petabyte = 1 PB = 1 125 899 906 842 624 bytes

1 exabyte = 1 EB = 1 152 921 504 606 846 976 bytes

nice? (sarcasm?) sure use your calculator but you can only use it in a darkened closet w/no flashlights, only the light from your nifty wristwatch light....lol

DAMMIT, i can't count the commas right i used the built in XP calculator and got 1073741824 i suck at comma placement i read 10,073,741,824. Don't ask me why, but thats a damn tricky answer ** is.

ha ha, just do an approx calculation ..just count the number of zeros you wud get by considering memory in steps of 1000 and not as 1024

Wait a minute.........

you said that B was the right answer but then you said that 1 099 511 627 776 bytes equals 1 terabyte. I think the right answer is A.
