I've been studying for A+ tests for about 6 months... I've never encountered information on IrDA devices... what are they?

Infra-red is what it stands for and the sad part is i can tell you the I/O addy it normaly uses but not the damn range

IrDA stands for Infrared Data Assosiation. It specifies a way to wirelessly transfer data via infrared radiation.
