dude. xwings? please. their weapons would do practically zero damage to a federation starship's shields. especially a ship like the enterprise. they'd be wasting their breath. and one hit from a mild phaser burst from the enterprise would completely destory an xwing. they cant target more than a couple xwings at once, but it wouldn't take long to destroy a fleet of them.

*sigh* no, federation shields couldn't withstand the constant torp barrage they would receive. Besides, federation ships like the enterprise have an integral weak spot. There is a weapons blind spot directly behind the saucer and main body, above the nacelle connection and between the nacelle's. Federation ships aren't designed to country small starfighters. A squad of X-wings would take care of the Enterprise. think about it, a laser with phase modulation can take the shields down rather quickly. Think what kind of damage a torp from an xwing would perform.
