Will XP will run on......

I think a friend of mine is running XP on his Pentium 200 MHz... It runs extremely crappy..

It will run extremely crappy with a 2MB video card and 32MB of EDO. It will run fine with a 16MB graphics card and 256MB SDRAM at 66MHz.

personally i wouldnt use XP on anything slower than a Pentium 2. I ususally run Windows 2000 on things anyway. But if you want to make use of an older machine just use Windows 98 or Linux. **** Small linux is good, or an older version of Knoppix.

I once had xp running on a p1 166mhz with 128mb ram 3 gb hdd

ps another thing I tried was taking a 233mhz computer with 64mb ram and after I had it up and running I took one of the sticks of ram out and turned it back on then xp was running on a 233 mhz with 32mb ram!!! 32 for f*ck sakes!!

I have gotten XP to run on that spec. However forget about SP2.

Some crazy Germans have managed to run XP on a Pentium 1 downclocked to 8 Mhz with 20MB of RAM. Beat that:
