Well, I was "conditionally" offered the job last week, picked up my Police Information Search Letter earlier today and dropped it off at my new employer, so now I have been "officially" offered the job of Systems and Network Administrator.
I start in a week and a half.
MAN am I ever excited to start this job. I'm not sure what the best part is...a LARGE network, crazy better pay/benefits, or the fact it will take me 5 minutes to get to work instead of an hour!
Not to toot my own horn (seriously...I'm usually soooo modest, I'm just fricken happy) I was 1 of 6 people selected out of 48 resumes, of the 6, I was called back to be the final 3 for 2 positions (one full-time permanent, one 1yr full-time contract). I applied for either position of course. I was given the full-time permanent position. The other 2 only applied for the full-time permanent (so I'm not even sure yet if they filled the 1 year contract).
