Alaska was owned by the Russians, not USSR ( I THINK. Pretty sure the USA got it as a territory long before communism was springing in Russia. Don't think Lennon or Stalin would have let a base for attacking an entire continent go so easily...).

Canada was owned by the french I believe.

And really... if Canada gets its own continent, why does the USA have to be grouped with Mexico?
