Less than a day but already Face ID surprises me how well it works.
At a glance while its sitting flat on my desk and im in my chair prob 30 degrees off, unlocked
With sunglasses as i got in my car to pick the music for the drive home, unlocked
Out in the dark walking my dog, unlocked
On low battery at 2% at a glance, still unlocked
I just ran it dead for the first time so I want to see how well it transitions tomorrow morning, but so far so gooooood.
Often no button presses will wake it up and face ID is automatic and quick. Even notification details are masked "iMessage" and i look at the screen, unlock icon appears, and the noticiation changes to "iMessage: Melissa says: xxxxxxx" I was reluctant as f*ck, but its smooth, natural, and really really nice.
