Yeh, just a shame it's a bit difficult to display projectors easily. You'd need a separate light controlled room for each one. It would have to be a very upmarket, expensive, specialist store. That is probably the only reason they arn't so popular, people just arn't exposed to them like they are TV's.

Well part of the reason people are turned away from them is because they are always told the negative. Most of my friends that came over to see ALL thought you needed a completely dark room AND a proper screen to even use a projector. Quite sad really but they all love projectors now lol.

Yay another mount and blade fan I have been playing that game off and on for years!!!! In one save I have an army of 100 heavy cavalry, 12 heroes, 140 crossbowman, 75 heavy infantry. I raped and pillaged castles and passing royalty instead of bandits and villagers.

LOL! You're the first person I've heard off the taleworld forums who plays it too pfft crossbowmen, a good army of nord veteran archers will pwn you. Played the new release yet? (M&B: With Fire and Sword). No tournaments or arenas, but guns/grenades added. I'd say it's 10x harder than warband or the orginal

(M&B: With Fire and Sword). No tournaments or arenas, but guns/grenades added. I'd say it's 10x harder than warband or the orginal

The game lacks any form of quality. If it came out in 2003 i'd say it was good. But as it is.. wow. Combat is so dull. Pump another $30m into this game, use a new engine, new AI, and i might be interested.

I just got X3 Gold (X3 Terran Conflict + X3 Reunion) and Dirt 2 and am in the process of installing them now.

Combat is like *the* thing that people praise the series for, maybe you were playing it wrong? It's pretty epic to ride in on a steppe horse and headshot someone with a barbed arrow. Multiplayer on this game is srsly ftw.

Combat is like *the* thing that people praise the series for, maybe you were playing it wrong? It's pretty epic to ride in on a steppe horse and headshot someone with a barbed arrow. Multiplayer on this game is srsly ftw.

I appreciate the mechanics of the combat. I like the idea of large scale battles. But in practice all i see when i play the game is mindless zombies chasing me around in circles until i die. They act like sheep, they all look the same, they have the same limited and robotic animations too. I also find the weapons boring to use, when i strike someone with a sword, i want it to a) look awesome, b) make it feel like the sword is a real sharp heavy object, c) make it appear to have some strength and realism behind the hits. If i hacked at someones arm with a two handed over the head blow using a 3foot long 5kg sword i expect some visual feedback.

It's the realism and look of the game that kills it for me. I just can't enjoy it.

Thats what the cavalry are there for to circle archers and massacre them whilst the foottroops and heroes on warhorse engage with there melee lines in open field combat. I just ride straight to there heroes as an extreme heavy horse archer until I run out arrows then start hacking away at the groups that need mopping up.

Nope my laptop can't play mount and blade although thinking about it I haven't tried on my secondary laptop so may reinstall tonight.
