Re: what are you listening to now

This thread needs more metal

I would hardly call Atreyu "metal". :p More like that weird hardcore genre. I do like em though.

If you want some metal, I'll give you some metal.

They may look funny, but they rock hard.

Some more metal!

Killswitch engage is in the same genre of Atreyu, They are both metal core.

@Antec user.

Nice. heavy riffage is always good. A little too much screaming for my tastes. but that first one is what I imagine Linkin Park would sound like if they suddenly became metal.

Lets have some more.

I'm mostly into Alternative metal and metalcore myself. Death metal is cool, but the growls and demon screams get on my nerves. It doesn't qualify as music IMO. And of course no one can call themselves a metal head without being a dream theater fan.

BTW I'm going to see Chevelle live in Corbin next Wednesday. lml

Re: what are you listening to now

^ I like the heavier screaming stuff.. I listened to Bullet For my Valentine SOO much a couple years ago, that I seriously can't listen to them anymore.. Sometimes it happens and then I take a break, but I just lost interest in the band now. And I wouldn't really consider Atreu Metal, they're more of a Emo Rock E-metal. But still a good band. And woah, Dream Theater! I forgot about that band!

Here's a band I've been stuck on for a while.. A friend got to hang with these guys after a concert in Denver once. :D

And another..

and another... I LOVE this song! The second half just get better!

I enjoyed all of those. In Flames had some good riffage. I liked the voice of the singer from soil work. And Scar Symmetry was just epic. The screaming was a bit much though.
