What music do you like and dislike?

I do. I friend recommended music from the sixties and seventies to me, so I will check them out. I already like Supertramp and AHA.

It's a shame some of you are unable to appreciate the different styles of music. I listen to a wide range of stuff and obviously I have my preferences, but I think that limiting yourself to one particular genre is like living in a box. Some of you should try and escape your box and experiment with other types of music. You never know you might find something you really like!

-Jazz. Almost any type of jazz there is...
-A lot of classical music, particularly solo piano
-Jewish folk music (Klezmer)...
-Blues...I'm talking the real stuff...mostly pre-50s
-Beatles-style old rock

Neutral towards:

-Classic Rock
-Much of what I failed to mention above or below

Dislikes:

-Cheap Pop. I'm talking about the really crappy junk...the stuff who's artists are 'created' by the industry, chosen because of looks and such, and have little to no talent, or training, skill, and lifelong study in music...example Jessica Simpson (I don't care how hot she may be, she's no musician)
-Rap...I respect some of it, but I just can't get into it
-Modern Rock (heavy metal included)
-Pure Techno


By the way, I play piano and other keyboards,mostly Jazz now (hint: avatar )

Sorry, can't handle rap. It cannot be banned and destroyed fast enough for me.

Same goes for most country music.

And opera should be terminated with extreme prejudice!!!

Otherwise, I enjoy most music.

IMO, Rap is almost nothing to do with music.

I like whatever music sounds good
my favourites are probabbly Ramstein, Lincon Park, some Metallica, and I like Basement Jaxx

I like Rap, Metal and Punk the most, probably, but as an exception
"The Smiths" are my favorite band
