They just get the records from the sites. It would be fairly hard to find out exactly who searched what because there are millions of people doing that each day. They just catch on to where a majority of the people go and look at specific sites that look suspicious. Something along those lines.

They track you down by IP, so yes. However you are in Canada and Bell / Sympatico WILL NOT hand over records to anyone with a court order. American laws also do not affect most of us up here on DSL as we are using 100% Canadian owned company's.

Um no thats just wrong. MSN and Yahoo are far worse as they already handed the records over to The US right away. Google fought the US which they lost but at least they respect your privacy. Do you honestly think they are just collecting what they said. It's just like the wiretapping they said only suspected international calls but then 3-4 months latter we learn that every phone was tapped from the listed companies it's disgusting.
