What do we do about necroposters?

I took care of those two threads........ I generally am a bit peeved by people bumping stuff from 2+ years ago (especially when the topics are no longer significant), as it has happened several times before and ended in me being called a forum nazi, but as a general implicit rule, just start a new topic on the issue and you are more than likely to get a few replies.

I went ahead and put a suggestion in the appropriate forum about closing old threads.

it is good if some threads are revived, and pointless for others
even if an old thread has useful information, it is sometimes pointless to bring it up again anyway.

just recently I had to reinstall my OS after my PSU was causing files to become corrupt, and couldn't access some of my own folders. I searched a thread about a user with the same situation (except he didn't reinstall because of his PSU), but didn't bother posting anything else, because it would be pointless
