well the title explains everything.

im getting my car certified and i was wondering what auto techies look at when it comes to certifications.
thnx

to get a car on the road, i hear they inspect seat belts, tires...... i just want a full list of things from you guys so i could know what i missed

When i took mine to get inspected all they did was make sure the horn, lights, and brakes worked.

Idk about the UK but in the states if your cars older the 96 you dont have to worry about passing emissions tests.

fog lights too? lol i got one burnt out .. hehe
well i bought new tires today(nice new pair of 4 for $240), wiper blade (the other one is rusted but fine) Engine oil changed...
i know they dont check the engine, but i got a leaking gasket that leaks coolant which also needs to fixed. Im going to college next year .... holy cow i got myself into a mess... money wise.
But hey i got the car dirt cheap
(96 Pontiac Bonneville)

so you need to pass their whole flippin inspection to pass? or is there a certain amount of minor failures you can pass by through?
