This forum is becoming more and more LESS known for knowledge and more known for ********. Seriously.... Is it a challenge that you all need again? Do you want me to bring the quizzes back or somehting? I don't get it.

This is the Off Topic Thread right???

It seam's my post fall's under that,It's computer related and some might benifit from it and it's also remained civil so far,So let people complain cause i don't care :D

3) No inappropriate language or images
Avoid vulgar, racist, and sexist comments, as well as swearing. We have a Zero Profanity policy. There is an automatic censor, but that does not mean anything it misses is necessarily acceptable. The censor should never have to be used, as appropriate language should be used initially. Do not post pornographic, violent, gory, or otherwise offensive graphics or links. Images should be scaled down as necessary to maintain a consistent and readable forum layout.

Quickly before Trotter comes... Anyways

Seriously wal mart and custom parts eh... NEWEGG IS ALWAYS THE BOMB

What a joke,Look's like Walmart is going to get into selling custom comp's
We got JB Hi-Fi that is thinking about doing the same thing.

I do not see Walmart hiring full time survice staff. I got a feeling that they are going to out source some White Box Manufacture to build and take care of the warranties.

If only I had a $1 for every time some one posts that quote here.
I would be a rich as Bill Gates in no time.

I wasnt tryin to flame mikesgroovin he had a very good point in his post...but then ended it with something crazy. I dont post a lot bc im mostly here to read and learn about computer crap. And i love to come to the off topic area to laffff.

No, I know that you weren't. And, to clarify, I wasn't attempting to flame Shum either. Even if it appeared that way, that wasn't my intention. I've had nothing but respect for him for a long time. Along with the respect goes the fact that he is a spitting image of Silent Bob....which is great. :)

It was a rant, plain and simple. The reason why it probably didn't make any sense was because it's the way that I formulate thought and then place it electronic form or on paper. It makes sense to me and if people generally don't understand my path of thought then they'll usually ask and I'll clarify.

My point was just that I've whitnessed nothing but a decline in the general interest and technical community here on this site. The Off Topic section is exploding with over-rated consumer rated info that belongs in a Martha Stewart magazine. There really doesn't seem to be any interest in developing the site or any methods of inspiring directions to get new members here and grow as a community. Believe it or not, there used to be. But, it just seems nowadays that everyone is showing off their new car in the parking lot (OT section), so to speak.

And no, I'm not going to edit my post :) I feel that the language used, given reasonable boundries in a given context, should consume the least amount of concern.

Walmart already sells extended laptop/desktop warranties and they are outsourced to different repair centers. Just everything else Wallmart sells the warranties are dirt cheap and pos.
They really don't cover a whole lot, no guarenteed time frame for repair/mail in service, and if i'm not mistaken all repairs are at their discretion, so don't technically have to be done at all.
I agree about the manufacturers, it's going to be some chinese company like Fry's uses for some of their stuff.
