unlocked cell phone question

I'm about to buy a blackberry storm (verizon) that is unlocked so I can use it with att. Now, what happens if there is a problem with the phone or something? Could I call verizon and get it replaced or whatever? how would that work?

Not sure if you're allowed to talk about this here, but I'd assume that unlocking their phones violates their terms of use so they wouldn't help you if you had problems.

You'd need to find out if its a GSM-capable phone and can take a SIM card; because VZW is on a CDMA network.

As for if there's a problem, my guess is you'd be SOL for warranty as you'd most likely be voiding the warranty by unlocking it.

hmmm. I think I may just pimp out my curve instead. I have the pip boy theme (fallout 3 ******) and I think I will do a little mod to make the track ball glow blue hehe. thanks for the answers guys
