Ive seen this on YouTube, but, i thought you were meant to remove all fans even on the heatsink because they would just burn out and become an obstacle (Like on the PSU)...

You would be correct sir. Hence why nothing stopped working when they dumped the mineral oil into the "fishtank" .

will this hurt any of your components? is it actually safe? *actually thinking of doing this with an older system* drives have to be removed I'm sure, but is that all that can't go into the oil? anyone know what the life expectancy of a saturated system would be and is the cooling really that good?
